Custom Button Templates

Although it is not required, and we don’t charge extra if you don’t, if you would like to place your own artwork before sending it to our Art Department you can use the following custom button art templates for reference. After we receive your custom button order, our staff will review your design and post a digital proof for your approval prior to the production of your custom buttons. After opening the file, you can save a copy of the .pdf or .psd file to your computer. Though the custom button templates were created using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, they may also work with other drawing programs such as InDesign, Quark or Freehand (please save your file in a .pdf format before submitting). Be sure to convert all text to curves or outlines prior to sending, to avoid font issues. Keep all artwork on a separate layer, since the button design template will need to be removed prior to printing.

How to Send the Artwork

File Upload

When placing your order through our online shopping cart, you can upload your custom button art file if it is less than 5MB in size on step #2. If you have a larger file that you need to send us, or have more than one file, you can choose to send your button artwork via e-mail to to: [email protected].

Electronic Transfer (e-mail)

After placing your custom button order, you can email art files to [email protected]. Be sure to reference your order number in the subject line of your email.

File too large to e-mail? We recommend www.yousendit.com, a free file transfer website for files up to 100 MB in size.

Disk

Send files on any media listed below:

• CD-RW
• DVD-R

Button Manufacturing Tolerances

Due to manufacturing tolerances, your image may shift slightly during the production of your buttons. Please be aware that we make every effort to manufacture your buttons as accurately as possible, but slight variations may occur as each button is trimmed individually. These tolerances are standard for all button manufacturers.

If your button design includes a thin border around the button edge, this shift may appear more noticeable than with full-bleed designs. Whenever possible, we recommend avoiding borders that are especially thin, or close to the edge of the button design. If you are concerned about your custom button design, please contact our Art Department at 800-742-5354. We are always happy to preview your artwork and make suggestions to you if needed.
